Soon after the JLU is formed, Green Lantern leads a strike team consisting of Supergirl and Captain Atom on a mission to stop the rampaging robot, Brimstone. During the fight, Supergirl's inexperience leads to disastrous consequences, as Captain Atom is forced to absorb a massive amount of radiation and temporarily explodes!
